Top 5 Favorite Upcoming Books | Five Fall Favorites

I’m so happy to be participating in the Five Fall Favorites linkup this year! For six days in a row, I am sharing five of my favorite books in six categories. To find the links to all the bloggers who are part of this blog tour and to see what books they are posting, visit the hosting blog. There are free books and a giveaway, so make sure to check it out. And now, let’s take a look at five of my favorite upcoming books!

When wisdom entereth into thine heart, and knowledge is pleasant unto thy soul; Discretion shall preserve thee, understanding shall keep thee.

Proverbs 2:10-11

1. Willow by Bethany M. Griggs

Willow book cover. Lady with eyes closes and head leaning against the face of a gray horse.

“Loss. Desolation. Heartache. Will she ever discover her Best Friend? For Libby Sutherland, life is starting to feel like one big loss. Loss of health. Loss of family. Loss of friends. She draws joy from the lives of the children in the daycare where she babysits and the horse therapy ranch where she volunteers. But when her chronic illness takes a dive, even these are threatened. The one place Libby is able to share her grief is with her arms around the neck of her beloved horse, Willow. When Willow is suddenly out of reach, where can Libby turn? Will she ever learn to confide in Jesus and truly know Him as her Best Friend?”

I might just be a lot more than a little excited that my first novel is, Lord willing, going to be released before the end of the year. It’s been a process getting it here, and I’m excited to share it with you all soon!

2. Icy Interference by Hannah E. Griggs

“The Hardings are excited to be heading out for their first HELP adventure, helping to clean up after an ice storm. But on the drive there, an icy road interferes with their plans. Stranded part way to their original destination, deciding God has plans for them here, the Hardings make friends with a pastor’s family and begin helping with cleanup. Along the way, they meet interesting characters, go on a quest to find the recipient of a valuable letter, and learn what it really means to honor your parents.”

The second book in H.E.L.P. series should be released before the end of winter! I’ve already had the privilege of reading this story, and it’s really good. So many unique characters, funny moments, and a lot of good family togetherness. Don’t miss the Hardings as they go on their first ministry trip! This cover image is a mock cover the author made for me. Any guesses which state the story takes place?

3. Another Homewood Christmas by KDWC Aunties

Another Homewood Christmas book cover. Food, candles, and Christmas tree spread in front of a window looking out at snow.

“Journey with the first family to settle in Homewood as they embark from the East. Stick around when troubles threaten to turn Homewood into another ghost town. Follow a song of hope and an old violin in the aftermath of war. Sit with a hurting couple in need of a Christmas miracle to complete their family. Stay close to a young woman as she struggles to find hope in the midst of rejection. Witness an aunt learning how much family truly means. Visit with a new neighbor who isn’t sure what she is looking for.”

This collection is set to release October 23, and I’m so excited to be part of it! The stories fill in some of the gaps in the last collection and give you more time with some of your favorite characters, such as dear Aunt Peggy whom everyone loves.

4. Because You Saw Me by Lillian Keith

”Would Nari ever be happy if she learned the truth? Agatha swallowed hard. She knew what her friend would say. As an orphan in Daivron, Agatha has learned to scavenge for anything that might prove useful. When she picks up an innocent-looking button box, she unwittingly incurs the wrath of a shadowy stranger. While being chased through the alleyways of a city that’s turned its back on her, will Agatha use the box’s hidden treasure to escape to a better future? Or will she follow her beloved friend’s advice and do the right thing?”

I read the previous book in this series, An Apprentice Escapes, and I enjoyed it! This upcoming story sounds so intriguing (what is in that box?), and it’s very exciting that it’s set to be released in October!

Because You Saw Me book cover. Lady bending down and holding the uplifted hand of a little girl. Many paper textures and dried flowers make it look scrapbooked.

5. Joy by KDWC Attendees

Joy book cover. Beautiful fuschia flowers in the front with a river and mountains in the background.

A collection of over 28 short stories and poems, this joy-themed collection is bound to cover a wide range of topics.

This is another collection that I get to be part of. I wrote a sequel short story for my Everything story. I’ve already read a few of the stories in this, and there are some really good ones. Also, isn’t that cover beautiful? Today is Joy’s cover reveal day!
